Connect multiple stores

Available in the Enterprise plan

If you have more than one Shopify store, you can use the Multi-store feature to quickly access each store's account, sync new affiliates among stores, and track affiliates' performances across connected stores. This feature is only available in the Enterprise plan. (You only need to have the Enterprise plan in one store to connect multiple stores, while other stores can stay on the Free plan. However, in case you want to use advanced settings on the secondary stores, those must still be upgraded to a paid plan).

What are the benefits of Multi-store?

To be specific, the Multi-store feature helps you to:

The Multi-store feature in UpPromote offers a range of benefits for affiliates and marketers, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of affiliate marketing efforts across multiple stores:

  1. Increased Market Reach:

By connecting multiple stores, merchants can reach a broader audience across different online platforms and marketplaces. This expands their market reach and exposure, attracting new customers and driving sales growth.

  1. Optimized Product Placement:

Merchants can strategically place their products across different stores to target specific customer segments or geographical regions. This optimization ensures that products are visible to relevant audiences, increasing the likelihood of conversion and sales.

  1. Quickly access each store without logging in multiple times:

On each shop, there will be a dropdown showing the URLs of the connected stores; you can easily select the store in the dropdown list to access other store accounts.

  1. Expanded Revenue Opportunities:

By connecting multiple stores to UpPromote, affiliates can access a broader range of products and services to promote. This expands revenue opportunities by allowing affiliates to diversify their promotional efforts and target different audience segments.

  1. Centralized Affiliate Management:

The Multi-store feature provides a centralized dashboard for affiliates to manage their promotional activities across multiple stores. Affiliates can track performance, earnings, and commissions from all connected stores in one place, streamlining affiliate management tasks.

  1. Track affiliate performance across connected stores:

In each store, each affiliate will have a separate affiliate link (with a unique referral code) to promote, but the ref code can work across the connected stores.

Overall, the Multi-store feature equips merchants with the tools and capabilities to effectively manage affiliate marketing programs across stores, driving sales and fostering business success in today's competitive e-commerce landscape. Moreover, it helps empower affiliates to maximize their earning potential and streamline campaign management across multiple stores, hence driving growth and success.

How to connect stores?

To enable the Multi-store feature, follow three steps:

1. Go to Settings > Advance > Connect multiple stores.

2. Activate the Multi-store feature and choose a store as the main store (the main store must use the Enterprise plan.)

3. Add other shop URLs to connect with the main stores.

NEW: Sync preferences

Sync settings

You can choose between 2 sync settings when connecting stores: Sync continuously and Don't sync. If you choose Sync continuously, the sync options will be available for you to select which information to sync between stores. On the other hand, choosing Don't sync allows you to connect stores together for better management without syncing anything.

Sync options

As you may know, UpPromote initially allows you to sync affiliate accounts and coupons across stores. We are delighted to inform you that other sync options are now available. Please find the sync list below for more details:

  1. Program list and settings:

If this option is enabled, the system will automatically sync programs to the sub-stores whenever you create a new program on the main store. This includes all program information, excluding Special product commission

  1. Multi-level Marketing

It will help copy all Multi-level Marketing settings of the programs that have already been synced to the sub-stores.

This option can only be enabled if the "Program list and settings" is turned on.

  1. Bonuses

The system automatically syncs the bonus to the sub-stores whenever you create a new bonus in the main store. However, there is one condition for sync: all programs set up for this bonus must have already been synced to the sub-stores for the bonus to be synced.

This option can only be enabled if the "Program list and settings" is turned on.

  1. Affiliate list and information

When an affiliate signs up for one store, the system automatically creates the same account for that affiliate in the other store(s). Most of the affiliate information, including personal information and status, will be synced. The affiliate account will also have a dropdown list of the connected stores so that affiliates can easily switch between accounts.

If you enable "Program list and settings," affiliates will be moved to the same program on the sub-stores. Otherwise, they will be synced to the sub-stores' Default program.

  1. Affiliate's payment details

Some merchants need to set up affiliates' payment details differently in each store. Therefore, we have split this info into a separate option from the Affiliate's general information.

This option can only be enabled if the "Affiliate list and information" and "Payment methods" are turned on.

  1. Coupons

When you create and assign a new coupon to affiliates using the Add a new coupon option on the Coupons tab > Add coupon, that new coupon will be automatically synced to connected accounts of the same affiliate and shown on each affiliate portal so they can use it to promote different stores.

The coupon sync only works with Order discount and Free shipping coupons, excluding Product discounts. Please note that deleting a coupon will also be synced across stores.

This option can only be enabled if the "Affiliate list and information" is turned on.

  1. Affiliate uplines and downlines (MLM related)

If you choose to sync Affiliates and MLM, you may want to transfer the MLM relationships along with them. Otherwise, you can turn off this option to build different MLM trees in other stores.

This option can only be enabled if the "Affiliate list and information" and "Multi-level Marketing" are turned on.

  1. Connected customers

The system will sync new customer connections from the main store to the sub-stores whenever a synced affiliate is connected with a new customer.

This option can only be enabled if the "Affiliate list and information" and "Multi-level Marketing" are turned on.

  1. Media gallery

Sync media ensures a cohesive brand identity for affiliates if your connected stores are selling the same product. Additionally, syncing media reduces the need for manual uploading and management of assets, saving time and effort for store administrators.

  1. Payment methods

Enabling this option will allow you to sync Payment methods that have been turned on in the main store to all sub-stores. If you don't enable the "Program list and settings" option, the system will still sync payment methods to sub-stores, but they will be set for "All programs" on sub-stores.

  1. Fraud detection

The system will sync all Fraud detection settings from the main store to sub-stores, including blocked affiliates and blocked IP address lists, so you can ensure that the other stores receive the same protection as the main store.

  1. Registration form

Customizing the registration form can be a time-intensive process, especially if you have multiple programs and stores. You can opt to synchronize the Registration form across connected stores if they offer similar products or belong to the same categories, thereby preventing redundant redesign efforts and saving time.

If you turn on "Program list and settings", the system will sync the Registration form accordingly with programs. Otherwise, if the "Program list and settings" option is off, the system will only sync the Registration form of the default program in the main store to the default program in the sub-stores.

  1. Email templates

Similar to editing the Registration form, customizing Email templates can be laborious, especially when managing numerous programs and stores. Therefore, you have the option to synchronize Email templates across connected stores if they offer similar products or belong to the same categories, effectively avoiding redundant redesign efforts and saving time.

If you turn on "Program list and settings", the system will sync the Email templates accordingly with programs. Conversely, if the "Program list and settings" option is off, the system will only sync the Email templates of the default program in the main store to the default program in the sub-stores.

  1. Affiliate guide

The system will help sync the Affiliate guide from the main store to the sub-stores, so affiliates across stores can have the same guidance.

If you turn on "Program list and settings", the system will sync the Affiliate guide accordingly with programs. Conversely, if the "Program list and settings" option is off, the system will only sync the Affiliate guide of the default program in the main store to the default program in the sub-stores.

  1. Affiliate account text

Sync all the text edits or translations that you have rewritten on the main store to all sub-stores. This helps you save much manual work of re-editing all the texts and languages in affiliate accounts.

NOTE:

  • By default, the system will only sync data and settings from the main store to the sub-stores, not the other way around. Except for 4 sync options: Affiliate list, Affiliate's payment details, Coupons, and Affiliate uplines and downlines. These 4 information will be synced back and forth between stores.

  • Before connecting multiple stores, if your account already has affiliates, you need to sync the existing affiliates to the other stores.
